Are you an SK official who wants to deepen your knowledge and skills in governance, particularly on accountability?

Are you interested in how you can contribute to enhancing transparency, citizen participation and accountability in government programs that cater to the youth?

Do you want to be of service to the poorest of the poor in your locality, especially the poor youth of your barangay?

Do you want to learn from almost two decades of experience in undertaking citizen action for accountability?

Do you want to learn how to conduct monitoring, i.e., to check whether the right standards, as planned and targeted, are followed in the services delivered and projects/ programs implemented by the government?

Do you want to learn evidence-based advocacy that improves policies and processes of government budget allocation, service delivery and project/ program implementation?

Are you willing and able to volunteer 4-6 days of your time within the 4-6 months to help conduct monitoring and advocacy activities as a learning-by-doing/ learning-in-action exercises in this training?

Are you an SK officer based in Marawi, Cotabato/ Maguindanao or Basilan-Sulu-Tawi-tawi (BaSulTa)?

Cotabato City/ Maguindano-based SKs:

G-Watch Training on Accountability for Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) is part of the #SKasGWatch: Empowering Youth to Lead Accountability (EYLA) program of G-Watch (www.g-watch.org) with Accountability Research Center (www.accountabilityresearch.org) that aims to enable the youth, particularly SKs, in leading accountability. The programs that G-Watch is targeting to monitor for this round based on its priority agenda are Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), sustainable infrastructure and health services from sin tax.

Submit your filled up application form to the G-Watch email on or before February 25, 2020.

G-Watch shall provide free food, accommodation and transportation for selected SK applicants. Successful applicants shall also be mentored as they undertake hands-on monitoring activities.

Application means willingness to volunteer time and effort in conducting monitoring of poverty reduction programs in your locality.

Non-SK youth leaders with barangay-level engagement may apply, but their reason for participating must be compelling since the priority for this call is given to SKs.
