Government Watch (G-Watch) is a national citizen movement and action research organization that aims to improve governance and deepen democracy through the scaling of accountability and citizen empowerment. G-Watch has more than two decades of experience in citizen monitoring and action research on transparency, participation and accountability. It is currently present in 12 localities all over the Philippines with partners and allies from civil society, government and international community.

G-Watch has been engaging Muslim Mindanao since its first social accountability initiative, Textbook Count from 2002 to 2007, and its national network now includes local core groups of Moro youth leaders in BARMM that have been involved in our education (Multiply-Ed) and health (PRO-Health) accountability initiatives.

Making Elections an Accountability Platform (MEAP) is G-Watch’s citizenship education initiative during elections. MEAP serves as a platform for citizens to collectively discuss the national situation and come up with a crucial campaign agenda to be used in engaging and/ or gauging candidates and parties. MEAP forms part of G-Watch’s integrated citizen action that connects engagement in governance with electoral outcomes as key inter-connected components of an ‘accountability ecosystem.’

As part of our MEAP in the 2026 BARMM Elections, G-Watch has put together this information pooling on the anti-corruption platform and agenda of political parties participating in BARMM.
